- How do you anticipate marketing will help you achieve those goals?
- What’s the financial upside if those goals are achieved?
- What have you planned to invest in marketing to get there?
- If you don’t get the right person and don’t achieve it — what’s the impact?
The key insight here is to pivot away from the direct cost of you, and focus on the benefits of delivering a strategy, impact to core results.
To understand the core things they want to measure in $$ for the business.
Then how much is the investment allocated to achieve it, and over what time period.
Then the biggie — reverse engineer it… so if you don’t get the right person and don’t achieve it — what’s the impact?
